i have had about 12 lessons now and i feel like i am improving every week last week i did the rising trot for a lap following another horse and i thought thats was brill because i had actually made it of lunge.
well this week i felt even better:D :D because even though i trotted round following a horse i manged about 15 laps of the barn and i was knackered my legs eventually gave in and i lost it so the horse turned in to the middle but it didnt matter to me because i knew my self i did well.
after that i kinda lost the plot my legs were shaking and i was so excited again i lost concentration aswell because i felt like turning round to everyone and say did you see me then, i did that then it was me doing that.lol

That's excellent! You must keep us updated about your progress. It's so much fun to be part of a new rider's experience. You have many milestones ahead of you!

Well done:) That's the great thing about riding, no matter how good you are the thrill of acheivement is still the same. You'll feel the same after your first canter, your first gallop, your first jump, your first show, the list is endless:)

Well done :D it sounds like you are having so much fun as well, which is what we all do it for :D I can remember that trotting seemed so fast to begin with, and then it all clicked into place.
I liked this bit as it reminded me of how I am when I do new things!
and say did you see me then, i did that then it was me doing that.lol

Zoelouise, that's fantastic!
It wasn't that long ago that my legs would be shaking after that much trotting. The first time I did a 2 hour trail ride, my legs just collapsed when I was getting off and I ended up sitting on the ground. (feeling very stupid of course)
You are making a lot of progress and I'm sure it will just keep getting better and better.
