I had to share but don't know how to put this into words!

Drummer was a little star today! I only rode for 20 minutes but he was forward going and listening to me and cantered and I didn't carry a whip and we felt together and he was all friendly and loving and with me and it felt like............................

...............................I just can't describe! It was so good, like a new level and I was grinning from ear to ear even though it probably won't last! :D :D :D

PS, word of warning, DON'T ride in wellies, I got my foot seriously stuck in th stirrup and I dread to think what would have happened if I had fallen off!!!

Well Done!!!! So pleased for you. My captain wasn't too keen on cantering without a whip. We don't need one now though we gallop with out an argument. You and Drummer will be galloping in the open air next.:D

And do they work? Or do they fall off when you are trotting, lol!:p

I dont know ive never use them! I use the quick snap safety stirrups which open up if you fall off, been good so far, the only thing is if you're halfway off they ruin your chances of righting yourself as they help you fall off if you're already half way there! if you get what I mean?
