I noticed the increased amount of files you can attach, and I want to try it out.
If this works, I'll have uploaded a Adobe Photoshop file :D

Sam and Blake - I'm not quite sure what the problem is. Would you be albe ot explain what you can/can't do, and what you want to do, and I'll help you out! :D
Also, are you uploading pictures from your own computer's hard-drive, or are they already on the web somewhere else?

Could you please explain what you mean with an example please?
Sorry, I just don't understand what the problem is. You try to attach a photo and the photo shows up on the thread. Is this not what you want to do?
Are you saying that you don't want the photo to show up? e.g:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/GypsyDales/QP3LZ28XTZ.jpg
But you want a link to the photo instead? e.g:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v652/GypsyDales/QP3LZ28XTZ.jpg
If that's what you mean I'll explain it to you, but otherwise can you post a picture please, so I can see how you're currently doing it, and then I might get a better idea of what the problem is

Right, I understand now :D
For images on Photobucket (as yours is) getting thumbnails is very simple :D
The URL address for the thumbnail of an image only differs slightly from the URL address of the fullsize original. All you need to do is add th_ in front of the filename (the last bit of the URL)
For example:
Full size image URL: ...img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/2005-01-19059.jpg
Thumbnail image URL: ...img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/th_2005-01-19059.jpg
You then need to put this thumbnail URL address in the brackets, and you will have the thumbnail :D

It is also possible to make thumbnail links. These are very clever things. They will show you thumbnail, but when you click on it, it will show you the full-size image.
To make these, you need both the full-size image URL and the thumbnail image URL (as explained above)
e.g
Full size image URL: ...img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/2005-01-19059.jpg
Thumbnail image URL: ...img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/th_2005-01-19059.jpg
You then need to insert these into the appropriate places in this formula
(URL=Insert the full-size image URL here)(IMG)Insert the thumbnail image URL here(/IMG)(/URL)
Note : For demonstration purposes, round brackets eg. () have been used. In reality, square brackets eg [] need to be used.
In the formula:
every ( represents a [
every ) represents a ]
So, with the URLs inserted, it will look like:
(URL=http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/2005-01-19059.jpg)(IMG)http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/th_2005-01-19059.jpg(/IMG)(/URL)
And with the brackets changed, it will work like this:
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/th_2005-01-19059.jpg (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v648/sam_h_88/2005-01-19059.jpg)

Kyanya, You've been great helping people. Thanks a lot. I have printed out your advice.
But please can I ask you more? I am computer literate, but still not able to put up my stirrup pictures properly or the photos of my USA trip, as Harry asked.
I have opened a photobucket album and put some pictures there using adobe photoshop. You can see them in this other thread. I put them up but didnt get any reply. Wow, now I can even get a hyperlink pasted in.
http://www.newrider.com/forum/showthread.php?p=617695#post617695
Please someone look at this linked mail and the two or three previous where I was trying pictures.
They are too big for the computer screen (I mean the dimensions).
Could you or some one else or the moderators say what size (dimensions and pixels ) - our photobucket photos should be? We really need a section with guide lines in FAQ.
I understand your saying that, to have text with each picture, the pictures need to be on photobucket and not uploaded thumbnails. But which is the preferred way for the board?
Is linking the thumbnail URL and making that clickable, different from uploading a thumbnail direct to the board? And if so, does it get a better quality in the enlargement?
I would really like some help please.

I don't think the photos you posted on the other thread are too big for the screen. They fit completely onto my screen and they don't take up the whole screen. So I think the sizing is fine.
I understand your saying that, to have text with each picture, the pictures need to be on photobucket and not uploaded thumbnails. But which is the preferred way for the board?
I don't really understand what you mean when you say 'to have text with each picture'. Where do you want to have the text appear?
Is linking the thumbnail URL and making that clickable, different from uploading a thumbnail direct to the board? And if so, does it get a better quality in the enlargement?Yes, the two methods are different. If you upload a photo direct to the board then it will take the NR bandwidth and the original photo will be made smaller so that the amount of bandwidth used is limited. However, if you create a clickable thumbnail both the original photo and the thumbnail are hosted by another site, so it does not affect NR bandwidth and the original photo can be of a better quality and size.
Hope this helps a bit

Kyanya, Thank you very much.
It is good that the pictures look OKay to you. They seemed a bit big for my screen. I had to scroll down.
When I said I wanted words with each picture I meant just what you had already explained - that the thumbnails uploaded to the board go along the bottom of one's post.
Thank you for answering the questions.
I will try your method of thumbnail linked to photobucket.
