She came at last!!!

After nearly a whole year of promising (be a year on the 15th) Drummers old mum, now Aunty Charlotte, lol! :p Came to visit! Yipeeeeeeeeee :D (to be fair, she is very busy!)

It was brill to see her. We have kept in touch via email all year but its not the same.

I was like a little kid giving it the "watch me, watch me do this" routine! lol! :o She said Drummer looked very well and seemed happy enough, but I wonder what she really thought?! :( :( He is definately a changed pony and I expect some of it is not for the better! When she left I didn't know what to think! Perhaps old owners aren't the best after all! :rolleyes:

It is brilliant that you have kept in touch with Aunty Charlotte. I too have kept in touch with my ponies previous owners and they really appreciate it. They really wanted good permanent homes for their babies and I am lucky enough to have been able to do this so far.

Thats why I took on Drummer. He had been a bit of a family pet because of his wire accident as a baby but as they breed ponies he was lost in the crowd and wasn't getting the attention that he needed as he matured. Charlotte wanted him to go to a one person home for the rest of his life, with someone who would love him and have fun and it was all a bit of an accident that I came along!

Actually, the one thing she said when she left was " as long as you are both enjoying each other!" :D

she was probably really glad to see him in a brilliant home with lots of fuss and attention .maybe she was a bit sad that she couldnt have been the one to give him the attention.
Ive been to see my old mare 'Lady' and it was brilliant to meet her new mum and see what a lovely home she has and all the attention she has.It was sad to think that I couldnt have given her as much and brings back all the good memories and sometimes makes you think what if?
