I am soo glad I did.
She said his pelvis was lower on one side than the other and that it was probably to do with over compensating when he was injured as a baby! She kind of wiggled his hips and lifted his leg and now its straight! :D She also massaged all down his spine and she hit one tight spot and he pinned his ears and swished is tail! But she said he was fine everywhere else and said I should work that side more to help strengthen his muscles! Also that long reining was very good but not lunging if he leans! I'm hoping that this might be some of our canter problem!?!
He has to stay in over night, no riding tomorrow and very gently on the flat monday and tuesday but then.......................! :p
My OH was very impolite about the situation, he thinks it was a waste of money but now I have peace of mind and can go on schooling with confidence! :D

I agree it's money very well spent, especially if you ask you horse to do a lot.
We have ours seen to every 6 months, and like you have just had our checkup.
Like Drummer, Gem needed a few kinks ironing out. Rio on the other hand got an absolute 100% all clear for the first time. I don't doubt at all that it'll help him with the canter:)

I had Arnie done this week too and it was the best money I have spent in a long time! He had gone down hill over the last couple of weeks, having been difficult for my instructor to ride, then having a bucking fit when jojo_82 came to ride him (very unlike him.) Then by the weekend, he was running round with his head in the air when I rode, shuffling from one back foot to another when eating from the floor and being very arkward to pick his feet out. I had a McTimoney lady to see him on Weds and the difference in him is amazing. Mind you, he was a real mess with a tilted pelvis, rotated atlas, unlevel shoulders and a very misaligned spine. I have to bring him back into work slowly over two weeks (easier said than done-he has a different agenda  ) but I can already feel the difference. Am very impressed and will do it again without hesitation.

I agree money well spent, after all I bet he has his car serviced!!
I have spirit checked regularly. It was the back man who told me all the problems I had when he was a youngster were from growing pains. Easy when you know how - he cow kicked if you touched his stifles. Just needed turning out whilst he grew. Boy did I feel mean for making him work!

Mmmmmmmmmmm, I hadn't thought of that!
I will let you know on Monday if he feels any different!
He didn't look very happy this evening when he realised he wasn't getting turned back out, bless him, he's never stood in a stable for so long! :(

OH may not have been supportive, but YOU know you did the right thing :) And Drummer will certainly appreciate it...well, when he finally gets to go out again.

She said that they seemed to be getting quite popular but didn't really say anything either way. I should have thought to ask but I told her what numnah I used to give me spinal relief and she seemed quite happy!
As he didn't have any serious problems only the hip which couldn't be related then I would say that was a plus?!? :)

We were pretty much completely treeless before our first back check with the current person and didn't pick up any directly related issues at all. Ours has an open mind about them rather than considering them to be a good or bad thing.
