Whats wrong with bonny? my bonny is also off her feet with laminitis

laminitis aswell!! well, she's all clear of laminitis now, just a case of letting her feet toughen up a bit (thin soles). we can longrein her and walk in hand but only on soft stuff. a bit of a nightmare coz she bounces about like she's got springs in her feet! hope your bonny recovers soon :) if you need any advice/help feel free to PM me. think i do more reading about laminitis than i do about my research topic! (don't tell my sponsors that! )

What a co incidence! Does your bonny only get in in winter? vet thinks she may have a metabolic disorder as in winter she gets fat above her eyes and laminitis, but is fine all summer. She was tested for cushings but was negative. She hasnt got it bad this time as we were expecting it so we brought her in, shes just slightly "wobbely"

My Bonnie can get it any time of year, she's had it spring, summer, autumn, winter! she too was negative for cushings but we narrowed it down to being stress-related. she was very depressed at having no turn out (YO wouldn't give us a bare paddock for her) or company. now we've moved she's thriving! she went out in the snow today for the first time in 4 years and loved every minute! :D

Bonnies attacks always seem to be pretty severe, i've been worried we were gonna lose her at times but she has pulled through :)

They used to have a website some time ago, but its been pulled for a while but intentions are very much there to start a new one.

PRA is a great association, really friendly and highly communicative. Great performance award scheme in place too.
