Hi
I know this probably sounds a dense question but i'm looking at entering some local shows this season in the showjumping classes but having never done any showing of any sort i don't quite know what the acceptable wear is. I'd ask someone else but i feel a bit of a dunce
Jackets - navy or black?
Breeches - cream, beige or white?
Do you have to wear a stock like you would out hunting? or is just acceptable to wear a shirt?
Sorry to be a pain i can just see me turning up in completely the wrong gear :D

for showjumping any colour jacket goes (from black to purple etc)
you can weareither a stock or a shirt and tie
i personally wear a shirt(white) and tie(white)
and for johds i would suggest cream or beige
good luck and have fun :D

I'll most likely manage to make a complete idiot of myself the first time as both myself and the neddy are likely to be hyper or nervous

i dont think you should wear a stock for sj?? You wear a stock collar which is a bit like a vicars collar, or depending on your age then a tie.
Correct me if I'm wrong.

For me I where:
dark navy Blue SJ jacket
Light blue Stock shirt with Stock
Stock Pin/ or stock with Initials
Boots
Navy and Black SSG AP gloves (BEST IN THE WORLD!!!)
Light beige or white Breeches
Now I have a black jacket to but do to hunt you Must wear another colour then black and the hair net must match hair colour. but If you are not showing like A circuit then you can wear what ever colour net and i believe Jacket too. I was informed last year the my white stock shirt was "out of style(I bought it for a show before this one, but will use it for Dressage if not allowed my other one, which I heard you can wear now)". Well so much for its not about the looks.
edited for my very bad spelling mistake...:O
