To my absolute shock, it is STILL raining over here in cali, and I have a show coming up this weekend. It is not a huge show, so im not super concerned about it, but the fact that it will be run through rain in the muddy rings does concern me a bit. Nana hasnt been handling the mud as well as she might, and Im afraid she might slip. Normally I would withdraw her from the show but this one is a vital prep for our next one, which is considerably larger. I will probably take her out of Green Hunter, and maybe Low Hunters too, but I would at least like to enter her in a flat class or two, and probably crossrails as well...

Anyway, I was wondering if I should have the farrier put toe grabs and other things on her shoes to give her better traction in the mud? Has anyone ever done this before? How affective was it?

Thanx:)

ok, thanx. She has little studs on the bottom of her shoes anyway for cross country, but ill ask our farrier if he has someting bigger that would help give her traction
