has anyone had western lessons in Britain? Is there a riding school that you would recommend?

There is a Western Equestrian Society (their pages are hosted at http://www.equiweb.co.uk and you can e-mail rwells@globalnet.co.uk for more information). They promote Western Riding across the UK. You can also reach their pages from the British Horse Society http://www.bhs.org.uk (so they aren't a hole in the corner organisation!).

She is a certified western instructor in the UK and a new person to this web site. Her web site is http://www.lloydschaps.com/ where she also makes chaps and other western clothes. Give her a holler and tell her Outrider said hi. Hapy Trails!

Thanks for the mention Outrider. Plusone, the WES site is located at http://www.wes-uk.com you will find a complete list of Qualified Western Instructors, and if we ever get a show season, a list of shows and clinics around the Country.

oh, I know the WES site. I was just wondering about people's personal experiences. But thanks anyway.

There is a Western Riding School in West Sussex. it's called Zara's Stud. highleigh Road, Sidlesham, Chichester, West Sussex. Tele:01243 641622. Pam Brown is the person to speak to if this place is of any use to you. Pam is also a rep for W.H.A. site is http://www.westernhorseman.co.uk. I go there for lessons at the moment as my fella is only a yearling at the moment. I like it.
