deleting cafe messages ? I've lost a message !

I posted a question in the cafe last week - and am almost 100% certain it was after Monday - and now I can't find it so it seems to have been deleted ?

I thought there were 7 days worth ?

The really odd thing is that I could read the replies to it this morning, so its gone sometime today :(

Any idea what it was called? I think how long posts stay in the cafe depends on how many there are - so if there have been loads of new threads posted, they won't last as long as if fewer have been posted.

It certainly hasn't been deleted for any reason - so I'm guessing it's just been a victim of heavy cafe traffic.

I'm afraid it's probably been deleted in this mornings prune of the Cafe - 7 days is only a guide, sometimes we remove more to keep space down.

I've done searches and its definitely gone. As far as I know, cafe messages aren't archived :(

I'm just a bit frustrated that it seems to have gone inside the stated 7 days :confused:

Mike, so basically you're saying that my genuine question has gone because of the flamin' cackage that goes on :mad:

Honestly - how am I supposed to track down pressie ideas if messages get deleted :rolleyes:

(not serious - but perhaps the information on the Cafe area should say this, as I thought I was going mad trying to find the invisible thread ! :eek: :rolleyes: )

I know it's frustrating and we are working on some ideas to cut down the dribble that can fill up the forum at times.
