As a newbie I'm not sure if posting this goes against protocol, I hope it doesn't though......

It's for anyone who has housework issues! ;)

Dust if you must

Dust if you must, but wouldn't it be better
to paint a picture or write a letter,
bake a cake or plant a seed,
ponder the difference between want and need?

Dust if you must, but there's not much time,
with rivers to swim and mountains to climb,
music to hear and books to read,
friends to cherish and life to lead.

Dust if you must, but the world's out there
with the sun in your eyes, the wind in your hair,
a flutter of snow, a shower of rain.
This day will not come around again.

Dust if you must, but bear in mind,
old age will come and it's not kind.
And when you go - and go you must
you, yourself will make more dust!

:D Make me smile and reminds me why the hoover is still in the cupboard

Can't take any credit for it I'm afraid.....just passing it one from another friend.....it's probably off the 'net. :)

Liked the poem-as the lady said, "Life's too short for housework!"

I agree, housework interfers with ones riding time. So therefore no housework :p

Here's a haiku poem my daughter left with my other daughter when she babysat one night. I hope I am remembering it right.

Oh cats are so bad
Push out screen
Escape all night
Now sugar is spilled

I love it Justie! And all you need to do is look around my poor, extremely neglected house to know I live by that poem. :D

Not in trouble at all Justie, and I enjoyed reading the poem too - but perhaps you'd like to read the posting information that Mike has made sticky - we're currently trying to discourage too many off topic posts and encourage the horsey posts instead.... so I'm sure you'll understand why I'm closing this.

Welcome to the board by the way! :)
