I have eventualy decided its time Drummer and I had a lesson!

The lady is a pony club instructor friend of the YO. She gave another girl at the yard a lesson a couple of weeks ago and they said she was very good, so tomorrow I am just having half an hour after the other girls hour!

Do you think she will be funny about me being bitless and treeless? Is she going to think I'm daft on a 12.2hh pony? Should I explain that I'm a bit of a chicken?

I've already decided that I'm going to tell her my aims are to improve my position and seat and to get Drummer more balanced and listening to me, which includes cantering in the school. Does this sound OK?

 I'm having a bit of a panic about this now!

It sounds fine..

Ohh I had a really big group jumping lesson with a pony club lady called Avril.

Oxo was hardly riden and hadnt jumped with his owner for 2months kept running out with her and our first jump was 2ft6  we cleared it though and were doing tight turns in canter to get to the other jump and we were the quitest smallest chubbyest thing there.
Made a small pictures of what it was. ( my great art work in paint)

then we had a harder one and apart from cat leaping everything there and me doing it with one stirrup it was great.

Good luck, you'll do great! I need to take some lessons, but don't want to go back to my old school because I think my riding's got worse instead of better :o

Just go for it- who cares what she thinks! :D ;)

The only thing I worry about having lessons treeless and bitless is that if I loose control or my horse goes mad they will think it cause shes bitless!

You'll be fint tho!

Thanks everyone, I can't help feeling nervous I know its silly. She is coming to me so at least I am on home turf! Mind you the weather forecast is horrid for tomorrow and we only have a grass school so if its too wet we have to cancel!

You will be fine. Lessons are for finding all your faults and improving on them anyway. Don't worry. Smile all through your lesson. :)
