As some of you may know I've has my lovely wayward horse stuck in a field for six months due to a lousy winter and then she was Foot and Mouth bound. It has unscrambled her head and she is accepting her tack great So far so good but separation anxiety.... I've never seen anything like it. Getting her to go out of the field is going to be fun. One riding Moss and two with Connie I think. I don't want to take her out with her pair bond as I want to break her dependence on the bond but taking her out own would be dangerous! Still we are getting there. Tack no problems handling no problems but until I get her unglued from her pair I cannot take her anywhere.
Still a long way to go yet as cannot take anybody anywhere until we get some shoes, then I've got to convince Moss that he is not a bucking bronco and is a suitable example for an impressionable young lady to follow. Her chosen partner spooks at granite blocks and gorse bushes, not many of those to be found on Dartmoor! Another reason for slackening the pair bond. Oh and being allowed onto the moor would help.
And there was me concerned about my daughter forming unsuitable friendships.....!
