Am I crazy?

I've entered a show this Sunday, despite having had the pony for only about 4wks and only ridden it about 12 times total! (weather has been useless in this part of the world). The girl at the next paddock over was going and offered me transport so it was a bit of a spur of the moment thing. Since getting him, I've been out of riding for about 10 years!!!!

What classes are you doing?

I took my first pony to a show after having him a week and then every weekend after for the rest of the summer hols!

couldn't enter pony section due to my age. had a choice of beginners or pony club with no description of either so entered beginners ring. also doing in hand in the morning because the girl driving me is doing it and it will be better than standing around all morning waiting for ridden classes. doing best walking, trotting, rider, paced, mannered presented, all-rounder and unity for ridden and much the same for in-hand. May as well be in for everything if you're going to all the trouble of getting out there! :)

go for it...if you aren't really green yourself. I took my jumper to a show a week after purchase (small show so I could see how he was at shows) then we went and did our higher level classes two weeks later. good luck!
