We booked Fifi in with the pysio about a month ago, but when she turned up Madam had lost a (very expensive  ) shoe in the mud and so looked absolutely wrecked :(. So today was the repeat experience. She was little off on her left fore in trot and lateral work, and slightly sore in the right gluteal but nothing obviously major. Or so we thought :o.

Physio and vet turn up. Trot her up and agree she's looking much better than she did before. Back in box and give her a prod - very ouchy horse :(. Get her sedated and do the flexibility tests in the neck and pelvis. Her poll was good, but that was the only thing that was. The rest of her had just 10% of expected mobility :eek:!.

The suspicion is that her front feet have been so sore she's been compensating through the rest of her body :(. 1/2 hour or so of H-wave treatment later and the estimate had gone up to 60-70%, so definite improvement, but poor girley :(. Hopefully now we're getting the feet sorted and getting this fixed she'll be all sorted and we can start getting her fit.

Next treatment is in about 3 weeks - no ridden work till after that. Good job she's well behaved on the lunge ;)

Ouch poor girl, but hopefully this is the start of her getting on the full recovery road.

Oh ouch, poor honey. That sounds miserable.

She's a lucky girl, to have someone who gets her checked out and takes such care of her.

Physio came again today. Don't know if she's much more relaxed at new yard or whether the first set of physio worked really well, but they were all very happy :).

4 to 5 days of rest (TO, by herself, as that's all she's had to date), and then slowly back into work. Preferably hacking, but as we don't have a saddle yet she'll be doing gentle ground work while we shop :o

Best of all, that's it - they were so happy they don't think she needs any more physio :D. Not-so-broke horsie :D
