Do you think its fair to Drummer to ride him every day over the holidays?
He was ridden 5 days out of 7 the previous week and 3/7 the week before. So we have built on it. I just worry!
He wasn't ridden Sunday but I have ridden every day this week so far although yesterday was only 20 mins! I am trying to fitten him up and slim him down!! :p

Yeah, that will probably be fine. I sometimes ride my horse a couple of times a day in the holidays and he copes fine.

Definately! All of ours get ridden every day and they are all fine.
Think of what riding school horses do - compared to them, ours are lucky. :D
Drummer will probably enjoy going out. :)

Thanks both of you, I feel better now and it should get the weight off!
Funny though, when I ride, Drummer is quite keen, its the thought of it he doesn't like. Yesterday, I tacked him up and left him in his stable while I changed my boots etc when I went back he had turned around with his bum to the door and his head down sulking!!! The funny bit was I just stood there and he kept turning his head to see what I was doing then when he saw me looking he would turn back really quick, lol :D

when i have the time, i ride angel every day, when i dont have that much time i rider her 3 or 4 times a week. has not been a problem i dont think. if you just ride as normal ands dont eg. suddenly expect him to do strenuou for for three hours every day, he should be fine :)

I think he will be fine, my girl is always keen to go out- she tried to climb ove the stable door when im putting her bridle on, then marches tto the gate to go out dragging me behind her, then I have to be quick to get on cause shes off down the road- no second chances with her!!! lol :D
