firey with other horses

any advice with my mare who is young and very hot with other horses she even plays up sometimes with mine i am going on a riding club lesson on sat and dread what she might do the last time was before f&M in an indoor school and she was not too bad. how do others handle it horse has not been taught to lunge yet . i can not get used to trying her with other horses although a friend rode out and the second time she settled . but she is starting to hot up quite a lot know as she gets fitter. help please

my horse plays up when she is ridden out with her buddy but with other horses that she are 'strangers' to her she is ok...she will put her ears back or buck if they come too close but other than that she is alsmot an angel to ride with strangers.
question - how long have you had your mare??? and hwo long has she been playing up??? is she in season?
that can also effect her behaviour..my mare isnt exciting the worlds greatest ride when she is in season...even worse if a stallion is in smelling distance!

is she kept with a lot of other horses? she may be just craving comany if not? i would try to have her in as many situations as possible where strange horses are around. don't ask too much of her when you take her places in fact i wouldn't even ride if she's that bad just lead her round and let her get used to the other horses.

it will take a long time i think to calm her down. also try not to tense up yourself otherwise she'll get tense too and you'll end up in a viscious circle.

yes angel is kept with 5 other horses my other 2 and my daughters 3. i had hoped to take her on foot to events but f&m stopped that. hope she does come okay
