Bald Bottom :p

Grooming Hector today we noticed that under his tail, on his bottom, he is going bald. :eek:
At first we thought it may be scouring, as his bottom has been a little dirty recently, but it was perfectly clean and must have happened in the last couple of days (as we check often). We cleaned it with medicated shampoo, dried it, and got YO to have a look.
She said it was odd - the skin isnt sore or red or cracked or even warm, it's just bald.
We're puttin dermagel on it as it's an antibacterial and will also allow it to breathe. She had suggested mudfever or rainscald but having seen it said she couldnt be sure.

Safi did the same thing last year - inside, lower back of her buttocks, absolutley no scrapes, scuffs or scabs...just a large bare patch on each leg.

Only thing I could figure out was that it must be her coat change and having lost the winter bit before the summer grew properly. She still has her fine winter fluff atm, so will be interesting to see what happens this spring.
