working with horses

I am 23 years old and have been riding for one year, riding once a week. I can walk, trot and canter and would like to increase my experience with horses. I would like to to help out at some stables maybe at the weekend. Would I have enough experience to do this, or would I just be a hindrance??

Most yards will be happy for the help. Ask the yard owner and I'm sure they'd show you the basics,
