the first lesson was with Vicky and i rode Bailey lesson went well and we worked on [ostion and although i didnt manage a canter it was good
second lesson was with genna and i rode Buster he was alittle star again worked on postion but mostly for canter i did loads of cantering about 34 mins out of the hour on and off,Genna was good let me get a feel for it before we worked on postion and leg etc
third lesson was with gemma and i rode Paddy he was a little more hard work but we cantered eventually and did some work over trotting poles and jump postion.
well worth the money lunch was good too everone very friendly guests and staff feel like i learnt more today than in the last 4 months.

I would just explain your nerves to the instructor, at the start, so that she knows you may need some confidence boosting.

Don't worry a bit about "looking like an idiot." Having difficulties and making mistakes are important parts of the learning process. Certainly nothing to apologize for. That's why we take lessons, afterall!

Have fun!

Good luck and enjoy. We all have to go through the process of learning so wouldn't worry. Have fun!

Have fun!

The majority of instructors there are great, very friendly, very encouraging and very good at giving you confidence. They will ask you about yourself and your experience anyway so just be honest and they'll work with that.

Don't forget to let us know who you ride and which instructors you have :)

I'm going again on the 17th for a week, I can't wait :)

Sounds like fun...and you've already taken my advice which would certainly be do not talk yourself into cancelling. :) I used to do this with things that intimidated me (from voice lessons to volleyball clinics) and it isn't a good thing to do, but you already know that.

Relax, have fun, and speak up to the instructors to let them know how you feel. You'll be great. :)

nicci1234 - let us know how it went, eh?! Can you also let me know which one you went to, because I'm thinking of doing something similar :)
