Bald areas under belly - help?!

I've noticed that my horse Milly has bald areas under her belly - they don't seem to be painful for her and there aren't any scabs or anything, just bald areas.

What could be causing this and are there any ways of preventing it?

Has she had a rug on that could have rubbed a bit?

Are the patches itchy?

You could try dousing her with some lice powder just in case.

I can't think of anything else to suggest if there is no itch, or scabs at all.

You could also try just washing the patches with something like Dermolene shampoo, remember to rinse well.

where exactly on her belly?

If she is inside it could be a reaction to something on her bedding.
