When I first got Sevigny, she had off white, flaky patches in her ears, which everyone told me were aural plaques. I was alos told that they were a reaction to fly bites and there was nothing to be done to get rid of them.
I was reading from an issue of a horse magazine and a person had written in about how a cream she used on her horse had gotten rid her horses aural plaques, and since it wasn't expensive, I bought it.
Now, Sevi doesn't much like her ears being touched (except when she's eating because nothing can break her focus then! :D ) and rubbing the cream onto the spot wasn't always easy. I did manage to get some in there, but then a friend 'borrowed' my cream and I never saw it again.
Now, several months later, and the white patches are gone! I have no idea if it was the cream (since I only used it for a few weeks several months earlier) or if she really had aural plaques. Any idea on what they could have been?
