ehm i have a pair of suede half chaps that got absolutely soaked on thursday and now they are dry they have white all over then..which im guessing is horse sweat!..the question is how can i clean them? i know there was a thread about this beofre but i have looked and cant find it!i think wally said how you can wash them...
but i would be greatful for any tips pluease!
my mum suggested brushing them with a suede brush but ehm...that didnt work!

Either hand wash them or put them in the machine but use NO detergent, use pure soap flakes. When you get them out give them a rinse in warm water which you have made cloudy with saddle soap, don't wash this out. Leave them to dry in a cool place, no direct heat, washin line outside is best. Heat is the real killer to leather not water as a lot of folk beleive, the rule is warm water and not letting them dry in a hot cupboard.
