red marks on tongue?!

noticed today that angel has some red marks on one side of her tongue. they look like scratch marks, but there isnt any blood coming out of them and theyre not 'open' ie skin isnt broken.

only explanation i could think of is that i got her tongue with the worming syringe last night (worming was a major struggle, she was being very very bad about it. got it in in the end but was NOT easy!). she's not tetchy around her mouth and didnt object to the bit (i only noticed the red bits after i had ridden) either.

ps: her teeth have been done just before xmas so i dont think its that

Any bushes/trees/hedges around your fields? Just thought I'd ask as I have seen Sham munching on branches to get the nice juicy leaf buds that are popping up :rolleyes: It can't be very nice, munching branches.......but may be a possible for the scratched tongue? :confused:

Sounds weird but I get red marks on my tongue, especially the sides, if I accidently bite my tongue, they are little blood blisters on me. Does she need a teeth check?

there are some hedges round the field so it could have been that.

her teeth were done (rasped and a couple of other things) just before xmas, so i dont think its that.
