I know the first pic is very fuzzy but I looked at it and thought WOW, we are getting there. He is starting to drop his nose and use his bum!! What do you think to the other pics, position, how Drummer looks, etc etc?

He's definitely starting to track up more and looks to be using his back and bum more. How are the steering issues?

Steering is getting better and better! As my instructor said, I have been keeping more of a contact and making it known that I won't tolerate him napping (I was to soft on him! :o ) and I have worked hard on Parelli yielding exercises especialy backing up from nose pressure and pushing him round gently on his cheek!

I have a list of things to work on now:
Picking up his back feet/working through from behind!
Cantering left lead (he did a lovely, perfectly balanced, counter canter circle yesterday  )
Maintaining canter.
My wobbly lower leg and improving my seat in sitting trot/canter!
More hacking!

Actually, I am dead pleased with Drummer, he is really listening and trying hard! He is the fittest he has ever been and even has muscles!! :D and so do I!!!! :p

I think he was tracking up, the grass is quite long and h'es been caught mid stride. When I look at my vid, he's tracking up beautifully he just doesn't always look so lovely and work from behind as well!

I might get all my old pics out and compare!

LOL - he won't disappear if you stop looking at him ! (and that might help with the forward tilt I think you mentioned elsewhere ?)

This is one of my bad habits and I think it comes from riding by yourself a lot ? No one else to watch you, so you watch yourself ;)

The smile on your face and the twinkle in Drummers eyes on that 2nd picture say it all. You are really enjoying learning together. :D

H's my avtar Miriam, did you expect him to change!! lol! :D Actually, in the summer he has blue patches on his chest and bum, I tried to get him registered as coloured but they wouldn't have him! :(

Thanks for all your great comments everyone, I love my pony sooo much and we have come such a long way in a year! :D

cvb: I know I do it, its sooooo frustrating when I realise I'm looking down again!! He goes so much better when I look up up up up!!! To be fair, in one picture, I'm checking my diagonal!
