Girth Sleeves - dressage legal??

Just wanted to check as am competing Arnie in an unaff dressage at the weekend, which is being run under BD rules. He has a small bite under his belly, in the girth area, and so I've bought a sheepskin girth sleeve which he seems much more comfortable in. Have never heard that these are not allowed but would be gutted if we were disqualified so can someone please confirm.
