Ive just got my pony back from the riding school who she was being loaned to, she came back because she was starting to get nasty and had a suspected injury. Well since she's been back she hasn't put a foot wrong and has been the perfect pony she was before she went. They said she was starting to bite when they were grooming her back and stomach and when they picked her feet up, well today I picked her feet up whilst patting her back and girth area, nothing, also touched her all over and also nothing.
So tomorrow we are going to get her back into work and see how she goes.
I used to ride her in a loose ring french link, and sent her off to the riding school in a jointed eggbutt snaffle as I was using the french link on my other horse. She is going to be using my Trekker on her and want to get her bitless, just so all of them are treeless and bitless.
Now, she can be quite strong at times and likes to open her mouth and go (I schooled and got her down from a grackle and dr bristol into her french link and cavesson), now, my sister will also be riding her and not much up on fighting with her when she doesn't go where she wants, do you think it would be wise to put her in a crosspull to help with steering and the hackamore to help with brakes?
What do you all think?
