as I have said before please excuse the jump position as it is over 5yrs since I last jumped. The last pic I had was showing my better position but it came out blurred (nice one Daz)

Thanks Parsha. I rather like the look of the hieght she is going on that last one and just confirms what I thought when she took off.

She does not believe in jumping small hence the reason we have come to a stop at the cross poles :D

Video is 1.6mg (8-9mins on dial up)
What I did forget to mention was that I was sitting on her having a McDonalds when she put her head down and my burger fell on the floor :( She could not get her head down fast enough. Luckily it has remained in its box so she could not get it. Serves her right

I never knew horses liked burgers!
I love the video, Miriam. I don't know much about English riding (although I'd like to learn eventually), but I love the look of her trot. What breed is she and what's her name?
:p And how'd you get video up? I can never figure it out.

For not having jumped in 5 years, I think you look great in the pics and video. She sure is cute, isn't she? I love the video. In particular, I love how relaxed she was going into the jump and how relaxed she stayed coming out of it. No running or getting over excited, but right back down to a quiet trot.

Yep Rhi does likes cheesy chips, garlic bread and onion rings too :D
She is a Welsh X. My friend reckons she has a bit of higlnad in her as she has the line down her back and tends to get the chest of Highland in the summer. Her high trot comes from driving which we think she has done before. Her full name is Rhianna Hope (Rhianna as its what my daughter decided to call her when I first bought her. Poor pony chops had no name when I bought her. After Rhi got used to that name Charlie then decided she wanted to call her Hope so I gave her both. Mainly because I hoped she would be the one. Well she was. Has brought me on loads)
Just put it up on a web space. I'm sure someone else may be able to say how to get it on NR though

hehe wait till she realises what we are doing and she starts to get in her stride. Thats just part of the clip. The part where I'm fighting to hold her back when she was napping is not on :D
I dont normally jump her that is left to her young rider
Thanks everyone for you lovely comments

We were :D I want to jump now (did I really say that or was it just a slip of the fingers on the keyboard)
Going to go on a hack tonight as she has done really well in the paddock these last few nights. Who knows I might just jump the black bar tonight :D

Wow! Look at you go Mim!! :D
A month ago, I'm sure you would never think you would be posting videos of you and Rhi jumping would you!? It's lovely to see, I feel really proud of you!! I may not reply alot of the time, but I always follow your threads! Well done! :D :D
Just remember though... wait for the jump to come to you! From the video you start to tip forwards before she has actually taken off. If you tip forwards and drop the contact, this will encourage a refusal. Shoulders back, relax, sit on the bones in your bum and as soon as you feel her front legs leave the floor, then quietly follow! You're doing so well though, and she has a lovely little pop! :D
