Found this white browsing bitless bridles on the web, would it be classed as a scawbrig or a sidepull noseband?

Scrawbrig as it tightens under the chin. Sidepulls don't tighten :) This one looks scary with those knots/lumps on - I bet they'd rub!

Hmm, I thought it was more likely it was a scawbrig but came up when I searched sidepull.

Lots of things do!lol.
Just a question- how do you get the knots to keep tight on the rings?

Looks like they've just done loop knots and burnt it to seal it...it doesn't look very sturdy...

Thanks! :D
Another question- why would this rub anymore than a rope halter?

Rope halters are generally nice and flat with double overhand knots. This one has lots of bumps, and raised bits. If they've sealed the rope by burning it (as I suspect they have), it will also be very hard and rough.
I've circled the bits most likely to cause a problem.

Thanks! :D
I actaully think this would be good for me little one, even tho it might rub :o
I don't know what she's like as we haven't ridden her since shes been back, Ive made her a crosspull, but haven't done any work in it, and lunged her in a hackamore but she didn't look too impressed ;)
She's not realy strong, buts she's opinionated sometimes. Shes been used in a riding school for 6 months so she will probably be in donky mode until I ride her.

Why not try a normal scrawbrig before resorting to that? According to the blurb, the dark bit under the chin is a piece of steel!

Don't worry I wont order than one, Ill make my own!
I don't think a normal scawbrig will be enough umph for her, and rope gives a more direct action on the nose which I think would be ok for her. Plus my sister will be riding her and shes about as effective as a pea

i tried a scawbrig (briefly!) on my pony ... she took no notice of it at all  i guess i would have had more control with a headcollar or nothing at all :)

I have used a scawbrig on one of my other horses and she took no notice when it came to cantering  , but my little one will only be cantered on her own in the school, any other time we canter she will be behind and will stop when the others do, so it might work, if not ill try something else, thats why I make my own stuff, its cheaper than buying one everytime I want to try something different.

lol. I might know what thats like tomorrow. Im acting as test dummy again, she hasn't been ridden for about a month and left the riding school with a potential injury as she was getting nasty, but shes been a perfect pony for us..

Ahh that's okay! :) I made a scrawbrig once but the knots kept coming undone so I gave up lol!

I hope the knots done come undone on this one  I remember once she bucked with me when I tapped her with a whip and the girth broke

lol I'm sure that if you test them before getting on you'll be fine :) My scrawbrig attempts were ages before I started making halters. I bet if I tried again now, I could make a decent one :)
