Hello,
The Institute of Rural Sciences at the University of Wales Aberystwyth does BSc Hons in Equine Science plus a range of other equine courses.
Have a look at the website http://www.irs.aber.ac.uk/.

Just off the top of my head
Writtle, Warwick, Hartpury, Bishop Burton, Cirencester (think that's with ag though). There's load of colleges that use to just do FE courses but are starting to do HE now. I think Northop College. Duchy (Cornwall), Bristol. There's loads more tnah when I applied 10  years ago  .
If you're interested I went to Writtle and couldn't have made a better choice

There's a list of all of them on the course search on UCAS's website,
www.ucas.com
That's what I used to find my course as it's searchable by degree, and it even has equine on it (shock horror!)
:D

Lancaster College also run one as well. May be closer to home than some of the others.

Oooh, can I have a full report please afterwards! I can't make it because I have my Biology AS exam on the monday afterwards and Chemistry on the Wednesday, but I really want to be there. I'm going for a look round later in the year, but I think the open day will be the best.

I went to last year's open day at Hartpury, it's quite good as there are lots of displays and fun things, but I have to say I found going to a Higher Education Day was much more informative (and you get a proper tour and everything). So if you're thinking of going there you should probably try and go to a specific course day, but go and have fun at the open day too! :D

just a warning about hartpury, its good, but there is a LOT of people on the courses. the equivilent to my course at hartpury they had 93 people on it, whereas warks only has 30 - nnot cos it aint as good, just cos they are more strict on hu they let in and want smaller teaching groups.

I've considered Warwickshire, but the thing that put me off was that it's much more aimed at FE (Further Ed.) than HE (Higher Ed.). Has anyone done the Equine Science course there?
