Hi All. The reason I am asking for advice is because I want to start Dressage in the summer. I was looking for Dressage schools while I was at school one day and I could not find any in the United states.
So if any one knows of any Dressage schools here in maryland it would be nice if some one could tell me where to go or where to go to sign up for lessons. I think that Dressage is the best sport besides show jumping. The reason I like the sport is because when you look at them doing the sport up close it looks like the rider and the horse are dancing in the ring it's like their floating on air. I think that is just so beautiful. Most people think that the only sports that are out there are baseball, basketball, tennis, football, soccor, and swimming and last but not least track. Most people say that riding horses are stupid but i say different. :) :) :) :D :D :D ;)
So if any one can help me I would really appreciate it.

Thanx For All Your Help

Hi Crazyhorse 45,

This is probably not the best place to ask a question regarding US training because new rider is mainly a UK based site, although we have some good and knowledgeable contributors from over the pond :D . However I can suggest that you take a look at the ultimate dressage BB which is US based and someone on there should be able to provide you with some help. The web address is:

You might also want to try the US Dressage Federation. Their Web address is www.usdf.org

Here is a list of USDF certified instructors in region one (from the site posted above): http://www.usdf.org/Contacts/CertifiedInstructors/results.asp?regionpass=1

Here is a list of ARIA certified instructors in Maryland. The listing tells which disciplines they are certified in and at what level: http://www.riding-instructor.com/state/md.htm

I also second the recommendation to post the question on the Ultimate Dressage Bulletin Board: http://ultimatedressage.com

and/or on the Dressage forum in the Chronicle of the Horse board: http://chronicleforums.com
