hey. well, i used to take lessons in english and western, but my trainer quit. Anyways, im starting up in English soon with a different person. When i used to ride English, i would ride in a small round bullpen mainly and when i cantered i would feel very unbalanced. I have great balance in slower gaits in a circle, and i can canter/gallop straight, but not in a circle. I used to ride a QH, and she was wonderful, so it wasnt the horse. Any tips?

I'm not sure what you mean by 'unbalanced', since that's a broad term, but here's my advice: Make sure you keep your body straight up. At a faster gait in a circle, it can be easy to lean into the turn, like on a bicycle. But when you do this on a horse, the horse will drop it's inside shoulder which puts both the horse and you off-balance. Keep yourself straight in the saddle, keep your weight evenly divided between both stirrups, and this should help.
