I've just bought a Barefoot we have used it on both our boys, and are very pleased with it so far. However I don't have the correct pad yet, and we are bit anxious as to what to use - at present we are using a poly pad but it has a seam - infact we have nothing without a seam. What would be the best temporary solution until the correct pad is ordered and arrives!! After
the saddle was removed from both their backs they just seemed sweaty and there were no obvious signs of rubbing.

I have a Trekker and dont use the correct pad with it. I use a normal numnah with a prolite pad type pad on top ( I have a prolite riser and a shires shock absorbing saddle pad and they are both the same, except the price the shires pad was £15 and the prolite was £60!) I have also used a polly pad type numnah and have pad no probelms with any of them.
Hope this helps

My poly pad doesn't have a big seam, only fine ones that make the padded bits, is yours different? If not, just use an old blanket or a towel, anything just to keep the saddle clean!
