I have just enroled with Equi Study on the foundation degree course and wondered if anyone here is currently studying with them?
Would be nice to keep in touch with anyone who is for support and friendship cause I am sure it's going to be enjoyable but hard work!

Cool, I am doing the Equine Studies Foundation Degree which one are you doing? I think the college offer quite a few different fd's which you can't do through distance learning.
Would be interesting to know how the modules I will be studying compare to the ones you study. The lady who interviewed me did say I would be welcome to join in lectures at the college, so you never know I might one day.
I am starting with the professional development module as this was recommended as a good basis for the rest of the course ... which modules have you studied?

heya, im doing the equine studies degree currently just about to finish my 2nd year and im going out on placement next year. I didnt realise they did foundation degrees actually at the college i just thought it was through equi study. I know they are having a review of all the courses and have plans to introduce foundation degrees instead of some of the HND's.
During my first year the modules i did were (if i can remember!!) horse biology, stable management, law for business managers, introductory economics, foundations of business, horse industry, sward and estate, foundations of science, introductory research methods, there were probably others but i cant quite remember!!
this year i have done, financial accounting, feeding and training, equine sports studies, horse breeding, marketing, research design and analysis, people management, equine business management, equine behaviour
basically my degree is a mix of the science and business degrees, and they relate them to the horse industry and do modules that will help in doing your dissertation.

Sounds really good, I am really looking forward to receiving my first module in the post and begin my studies.
I've always wanted a degree and now that I am settled in my home and work it makes sense to do a degree in a subject I love :)
