Brodie looks lovely! I think I remember reading a thread you posted when you were considering buying her - how are things going with her? Have you entered your first dressage comp with her yet?
Best wishes,
Sarah

Hope you get your saddle sorted out soon! I'd be itching to get on and ride! Having said that, it's good that you're getting the time to bond and do groundwork first without rushing things.
I'm sure you'll be doing dressage in no time ;)

WOW!!!!!
What a beautiful looking girl!!! She is gorgeous.
There are some things you can be doing to help when schooling, things you can do from the ground.
One big thing is to stand square, front and back feet if possible, if not just start with the front. This will give her good habits when you halt at the end of a test and she stands square, ready to salute and then leave, will up your marks.
Lunging to get her bending through her back - long and low. Builds up top line muscles, develops underneath muscles so as she will have a better self carriage and not lean on your forehand. Also lunge with side reins, and these too will help develop muscles. Also encourage her to bring her head nearer to the vertical, but still relax in her neck and jaw.
Long reining - helps develop an even contact etc.
In hand you can also do some lateral movements with her, again lunging on smaller circle and then push her out onto a bigger circle will help with suppling her up etc.
Lunging will also help you see her movement and how she goes.
She is lovely and get out there and have some fun with and dressage too. Loads of people take it far too seriously, but have some fun, some judges will like you and her better than others, but that is only their opinion.
Most of all enjoy learning together - that is what your partnership is all about
Good luck
