How do u ride hunt seat?

My 4~h leader sign me up for hunt seat. For fair and i have no clue. I only ride saddle seat. At the bedford fair grounds. Can someone help. :confused:

Hunt seat is also called forward seat and is ridden in a jumping saddle. Compared to saddle seat, the horse is ridden in a much longer frame (encouraged to go with long, flowing strides, rather than the extravagant gaits of saddleseat), so the reins are generally longer and hands held lower by comparison. In trot, the upper body is in front of the vertical. The canter may be ridden either in 2-point or in a very light seat.
