I cant believe how different it is. you really have to concentrate. I was exhausted and our instructer made me go round twice!
how do you know if they land on the right foot for a lead change coming up to a turn?

Well done on your course!!

As far as leads, you should feel or look for the lead as you canter away from the jump, the same way you would feel or look for a lead on the flat. You can help indicate the new lead for the horse over the jump by stepping slightly more into one of the stirrups, looking in the direction you'll be going, and possibly opening up the inside rein a little.

Yes just like kedwards said, but some horses just do it you will b suprised because my horse is a one taht panics when he does counter canter and changes so jumping a corse he likes to do it himself. Well done again :D

Well done!To change the leading legs over a jump so they can on the correct one, I shift my weight slightly and give a little feel on the riein in the direction I want to go. I learnt this at my old riding stables, and it's usually successful :) good luck with the jumping! x
