Maybe this is an Outrider question, I don't know. Okay. Last lesson toward the end the instructor let me lope. Horse was totally ignoring me so my instructor had the lunge whip and finally got her into a lope. The question is, how do I keep from being bounced out of the saddle? I think the instructor mentioned "polish the saddle" but doesn't that restrict the movements of the horse? :confused: And suggestions would be greatly appriciated! Thanks...:)

Sit back and deep in the saddle. Try and feel the horse's movements through your bottom and legs and move in time with him. Try not to flap your arms for balance and don't squeeze with your calves as this will send him faster. Grip more with the thighs and move with the horse. I received your articles! Happy Trails!

Okay, thanks Outrider! I just really wasn't sure about that "polish the saddle" bit. I'll have a go on Saturday and see what happens.:)
