sorry, just a few things i need clarified . . . .
at what level can you start competing in a double bridle?
is a french link mouth piece accepted?
are hanging cheek snaffles accepted?
think that's it . . . thanks!

Yes hanging cheek snaffles are allowed in dressage. I'm not sure about french links but I would imagine that if the hanging cheek is allowed then so is that as it is a milder bit.

French Links and Filet Bauchers' (hanging cheek) are both accepted.
Elementary level its optional to ride in a snaffle or double, above Elem its compulsory to use a double.

Sorry to contradict you MeMe but double bridal does not become compulsory until advanced. So elementary, medium and advanced medium are all optional.

You can start riding in a double from Elementary, however it isn't compulsory until you reach Advanced Level.
For clarification on acceptable bits and equipment you can refer to the BD rules book.
