Blimey! That hurt my eyes!
1. I don't know if this is a troll, but anyway:
2. Don't treat your horse in that way - it's more likely your fault, not your horse.
3. Get some help from an instructor or something.
4. Stop swearing like that, younger children come on this board.
5. Can you type normally please?? :p

Defintely eye-watering caps!!!
Fortunately the mods got the bad words, but always try to be polite on public forums as young people come here.
Not sure what this is all about but I would probably rear too!
HIT HIM OVER THE HEAD WITH A WARM WATER BOMB AND HE THOUGHT HE WAS BLEEDIN SO THAT WAS GOOD HE STOPPED!
Hopefully a troll..............................

ok, I can suggest something.
Go to your local yellow ads for free paper and put in the following under the section for Horses and Equipment.
For Sale, to good home only, horse who requires a sympathetic, intelligent rider who has the experience to bring on and work through problems brought on by a ignorant unsympathetic rider (in the broadest possible sense of the word)!
Troll or not you do not deserve to have a horse if this is 1. how you treat it and 2. think you are right to treat it in this manner. The title alone of this thread has shown everyone on here what you think of the horse. Haven't you heard of the proverb that a poor workman always blames his tools!

Roxie, assuming you're not a troll a few pointers:
Please don't write in capital letters, it's difficult to read and a lot of people won't bother.
Please don't use text speak. Again it's difficult to read for some people and you have to remember that not everyone on here has English as a first language.
Swearing isn't big and it isn't clever. There are kids on here (you are one of them) and it's just not on.
At the age of 13 you're not as experienced as you seem to think you are. If you really want to get on well on here then I suggest that you listen to what people are saying to you.
To make some points about your post:
Your title ("Stupid Bronte") doesn't exactly sound like a caring or experienced horse person. Most of the problems with our horses are caused by humans. Horses aren't intentionally 'bad' or 'naughty'. If they misbehave it's usually because of past treatment, present discomfort or they're simply trying to tell us something. Loopslou put it very well.
Hitting a horse on the head does absolutely nothing to stop a horse rearing in the long term. You need to try and find out WHY he's doing it. If you hit my horse on the head with anything you just know that you would end up with a very big headache yourself!
You have had his back checked but not his teeth! You *should* have had his teeth done at the same time. Have you also had his saddle checked? Have you thought about the bit that you use? It may be worth trying a milder bit.
I'm presuming that Bronte is the same horse that was quiet at Pony Club? He is obviously telling you that there is a problem, you need to work out what that is, look at yourself very, very closely. With regards to rearing I would get an experienced adult in to help you with that.

It's true that people recommend hitting horses over the head with eggs or water bombs and all sorts to stop rearing (it was actually recommended on a thread recently on how to stop rearers, and no-one seemed to think it was cruel then - please bear that in mind when replying here) but as Bay Mare says, Bronte is almost definitely trying to tell you there's a problem.
Have his back checked again, have his teeth checked, have a saddler check saddle fit and make a list of everything that's changed since he went from quiet horse to brumby (changes in routine, or moving home, or changes in feed - anything and everything). Sometimes that makes it easier to see what might have triggered this behaviour.
Please do remember Bronte is not stupid, or being cunning - something is wrong and he's trying to tell you the only way he can. It's great that you're trying to sort the problem out - you just need to find the cause of the problem first. Not always easy, but what's been suggested is a good start.
