Only about 1 foot jumps, but I'm pumped! :cool:

Fun, yes, but also, when I started lessons, I thought it was going to be a long, long, time before I got to jump. These jumps were on my 8th lesson.

Yes, I felt secure! I may be fooling myself but I feel I could take a fall to the soft sand in our arena without breaking anything. This belief (whether justified or not) allows me to relax. :)

Wow-great job! How fun. I just recently bought a horse with jumping experience and did my first jumps in 20 years. I know how you feel.

Good for you Wanabe!

While we have to go into this realizing that serious injuries are always possible, the majority of falls result only in bruised egos - and perhaps a few aches and pains the next day

Ditto Kedwards - although at my age I don't bounce as well as I did 35 years ago when I started riding! Best not to think of that - 'ride like you can't fall off' as the saying goes.
