Nervous Nelly Has Fabby Day....

Sunday was supposed to be the first time I went on a trail ride with the club I have joined but the weather was awful and it was cancelled. But I had had a sleepless night and was up early so being British hubby and I decided to go anyway well, we have had my horse 4 months took 3 months to get him in the float he scrambles in the float, had to get a new flaot, despair set in etc etc.

Well he floated like a dream, we got to the forest, nice and deserted due to weather and with my dear hubby walking with me off we went.

Had the best ride ever, Ramby was sooo good, I even galloped 2x and he stopped as soon as I asked. He didn't even spook at thekangaroos .

After a bad few months I feel like we finally have clicked and I love him to bits.

I am tring to add pics. Sorry to be so excited but none of my friends are horsey and they so don't understand!!!

Thanks for all your lovely replies, Ann H I am in rural New South Wales, relocated from Guilford Surrey in January and loving it here!!! Gone from no horse and no garden to 8 acres, own horse at home etc, only took 32 years...!!!!

cate, good for you, going anyhow!! some of my most wonderful trail rides have been with just me and my horse or pony!! :D <whispering> often i sneak off from my friends who like to ride just so we can have some alone time.

Boy, all I have to worry about are deer and squirrels to spook my horse! But kangaroos!! How adventurous is that! Your horse is beautiful!
