Just got to tell someone. I posted a message here way back in March about a 17.3hh tbx which I have got on loan entitled 'Am I doing the right thing?' I was deciding whether to keep him or not as he rodeo'd me last year and broke my wrist. Well yesterday I got my canter on him, a major milestone as I haven't cantered him since last October, and he didn't leap into it but went in quite smoothly. The secret......a very able lady who schools problem horses took him on last December and he has improved no end. I am hoping to hack him out on the bridleways soon.
And guess what, today at the riding school I attend I rode their fastest horse bareback including canter work. I am in pain.........but happy!!! Who could ever top these feelings. I feel like I am floating in the clouds!!!!!!!!

Thank you, I am trying to be careful! But these are real milestones as a few years ago I would ride anything until a horse went out of control and threw me very badly into a fence but I am taking things very, very slowly and I can see a light at the end of the tunnel!!! :D
