Can anyone recommend any good farriers around Bedford who are willing to do a barefoot horse?

I'm moving my horse to another yard in a couple of weeks (where she will be allowed to be out 24/7 all year :) ) and will probably need to find a new farrier. :(

I know a few good farriers in my area (bedfordshire) who are more than willing to trim a barefoot horse in your area just a case of phoning and asking..

Martin Moris (trims my horses feet well, gentle guy has been a little unrelaible with his time keeping in the past but otherwise brilliant i use him every 8 weeks)

Andy Dyke..he lives in bedford but ive not delt with him friends use him regularly thou

The billy crothers team...expensive, but you pay for quality. brilliant in all respects, spot on time keeping and good triming skills...aparently they are internationally known. very busy guys thou.

if you want any more or numbers of these guys just pop us an message through..i'll be more than happy to help you with your search!

If you're going barefoot as in HP trim barefoot then Adi Pratt is near to your area. She's an EP and does 3 (about to be 4) of the horses at my yard (she travels a lot!).

Her e-mail is: adi.pratt@gmail.com

I am over in Potton and have been recommended to try these two.

Daniel 0797 7580675

or a lady called Karen 01763 849711 who does the K C Lapiere trim.

Let us know how you get on with the transition to barefoot and good luck in your new yard.

Honey's been barefoot since last September when she managed to wedge her rope under her hind shoe as she went charging off up the field... I decided to have her shoes taken off as she wasn't doing much work at the time, and have gradually built her work up without them.

Her feet are looking quite good now.
