Rusty is thriving well!

After all of Rusty's tramatic experiences, he is now recovering well from everything. His ankle had a massive abcess that came to a head and burst, leaving a huge hole. That hole now is small and is starting to scar over. He is being bottle fed after his mom rejected him. He will be five weeks old tomorrow. He is gaining weight like he is suppose to now. Here is a before and after pic.

She was a maiden mare. And also what happened is that he somehow rolled under the fence and our other mare licked him clean therefore breaking the bonding process. It was our first foal too, and everything that could go wrong after the birth, did! But now he is just fine and growing in size and personality.
