Hello All

I recieved the video i ordered off this site last week and watched it at the weekend. It helped to visualise what was being described in the book. I tried the back movements while on a chair and the next morning my back was killing me! I think that it shows how tight my muscles are in my back and shoulders whcih makes me think i need to sort that out before anything.

My problem now is that i need someone to teach me the enlightened way. I have just given up sharing a horse and wanted to spend the winter having more lessons as like many others, i have ridden for 13 years but feel like i have only just started! Now i know i have asked this before but is there anyone or any place in the Essex/Herts area that thinks along similar lines to Heather? I would actually like to make contact with anyone in Essex that has had lessons with Heather or Sue or is also interested in Enlightened Equitation. I am 23 and I live in Chelmsford and would love to exchange ideas etc . I am saving for my own horse, a reason why i have given up sharing, but i want to improve my riding before i take that step.

Also Sue Carnell could you let me know when you are going to be taking 2 day training sessions as i would love to attend. Thanks

HI Kay,

I am trying to get some EE trained teachers out there, but have only started the workshops this year. Sadly as yet, I don't have anyone in the Essex area- although I used to live at tiptree until ten years ago- and no, sorry, i'm not coming back!!! I am often asked by friends still in the area 'won't you consider moving back?'- no way! Devon may be geographically inconvenient, but it is just such a lovely place to live!

As soon as I can find someone who is intersted in teaching this way in Essex, I will let you know. I do hope to take a clinic there next year, maybe a couple if only I can make time. I have just sold one of my horses to a friend who will be keeping him in Epping- so another good excuse to come up your way!

Is there any one in the NE (near to Durham) that teaches Enlightened Equitation.

HI Miriam,

Other than Sue and myself, there are no other EE teachers out there, yet- but we are working on it!

Just as a matter of interest how do you become an EE teacher? Would love to become one but probably could not financially or experience.
