I took Drummer over to my friend Janes today so that we could ride out together! It was the BEST day I have ever had!!!!! :D

I was sooooooooooo nervous this morning (see cafe thread!!!) I felt sick. Drummer and I don't even hack alone let alone disapear off for the whole day!

I borrowed the trailer from the YO and my dad drove us over (bless dads! ;) ) I was panicing because in the year I have had Drummer we have boxed out once! He neighed 722 times on the way there which made me feel so guilty and even more nervous but .............

...........We had sooooooooooo much fun! Drummer was really interested to see where we were but he was an angel and didn't blink at anything even though it was so strange; indoor stables, proper school, sheep, cows!

We messed about in the schol for a bit then after lunch went for a hack around the farm. Drum had great fun eating the corn! but we even had a really speedy canter up a hill! Drummer enjoyed himself sooooo much, he strode off in front of Janes horse Phoenix and wasn't at all silly or spooky! It was ACE!!!! He even loaded first time on the way home!

Heres a couple of pics: On the yard

It does, especially as Phoenix's head carriage is quite low ... He's a super little horse, suits you perfectly, and that looks like a very comfy saddle you've got.

Thanks everyone, it was such a fantastic day and Drummer was so good that I shall def be doing it again. Actually we are already trying to arrange a day before the summer hols is over!!

It was so lovely to ride out with Jane. We have been friends since school, we went back to riding together then eventually got our own yet we never get to ride together!

Kerry (Janes YO) says she has a spare pony stable, I have NEVER been so tempted! lol! Its just the distance! :(

Edit: saddle is comfy but very wide so my hips really ache today!

Brilliant! It gave me so much confidence and I really think it did Drummer the world of good too, when I rode yesterday he wasn't at all spooky or silly! :D
