Just in case anyone is interested they are looking for a BHSAI on a permanent basis also to cover for the Head Girl while she is on maternity leave. They are willing to help you train for II & I and are very good at giving you support for ABRS & BHS exams. They are predominantly a dressage yard though it's not necessary to be a dressage rider.

Sounds like a great opportunity for someone. I've never been to Contessa myself but it's an ambition of mine to ride there someday and learn a lot, hoepfully. I've heard that it's a fantastic place.

Shame I'm not an AI yet (or anywhere near getting my AI for that matter!) especially as they have a jacuzzi!!! :D

Unfortunately they don't have a jacuzzi, that's the health club in the (posh) hotel down the road that holiday clients can pay to use :) The facilities there for staff are quite basic, there's a staff bungalow with shared rooms and a couple of caravans.

It's a nice place, though. There is a wide range of horses and some excellent instructors. The owner, Tina Layton, has her competition horses there plus her Head Girl (who is the one on maternity leave) has her dressage horse there, he's absolutely adorable :)

I 'worked' there at the weekends and did my NVQ there. I really enjoyed the work as you always knew what you were doing and when and though Tina is very hands on and very particular about how things are done it meant that you learned how to do things properly. I wanted to go as a working pupil but couldn't afford the drop in pay (and, at my age, sharing a room wasn't what I wanted to do with my life :D ).

You also get the opportunity to go to the TTT and see Tina train with Arthur Kottas. I never managed to go unfortunately but I will ... one day :)
