View Full Version : I need to be two people!

I rode my lovely grey girl Abbey this morning. We had a little hack out she was really good, especially as she hasn't hacked for a few weeks.
Then the farrier came to do her trim and her feet are doing really well, strong and capable. She never flickered on any surface while we were out.
So I should be feeling content, but I'm not because my other girl Erry needs attention too. I have been schooling with her over the last few weeks (neglecting Abbey!) and she is really improving. I want to take her for some lessons soon so we had to make a start. But I've had back problems and had to scale down a bit to what I used to do, though things are getting better now (hopefully).
Then I have poo picking to do and all the tack needs cleaning...... does this sound familiar? And did someone mention housework? And I have to run a business this afternoon.
Possibly I need to be three people not two!

I know how you feel.
I only have one horse though.
I also have a beagle who needs a good walk every day otherwise he drives me mad (so saying, he was a little angel when I couldn't do anything last week when I fell off), a business to run (which is more like two businesses the time it takes up), my other job to do, and all the housework.
:D Isn't life wonderful! :D

I know how you feel. I have 2 horses and always feel that I don't spend enough time with both of them, but would never give either up! I work long hours, and trying to do a part time postgraduate course and we are trying for a baby. I am not complaining though as my horses are the best things that have ever happened to be (but I don't shout that out too loud incase my boyfriend hears me!)

I totally understand! I have 6 kids (including a teenager and toddler twins), 1 dog (puppy), 1 jealous cat and 2 new horses to worry about. One of my horses is named Abby also. We were only going to take on 1 horse but somehow ended up with 2 and I constantly worry that someone is not getting enough attention. Then I am also in the presidency of our local twins club and volunteer to help moms with newborn twins learn how to breastfeed and manage newborn multiples. There is just not enough hours in the day!

Momofsix you have your hands full. My twins are grown up now, but I too used to run the local twins club years ago. Aren't we lucky?!!

Gill good to hear from you. Never far from my thoughts. Hope your doing well and so is Erry. Know what you mean about being more than one person I have to be 4 people at times. Thankfully I only need to be 2 at the moment :D

One very helpful husband, good friends and miltitary style time management :D
This morning I was up at 5:30am took the baby out and did the shopping, went and did the horses, came home did packed lunches, hoovered and mopped. got the older one ready dropped them to the childminder and went to work, and I have the farrier and saddler out later.
but i wouldn't change any of it for the world, although I had a jumping lesson last night so am a bit achey this morning, so maybe just five more minutes in bed today would have been lovely :p

Ditto - the housework can wait! Although I only have one horse, one husband, and a full-time job!
