Just thought I would tell you how captain and I are getting on with his Anxiety Seperation problem.
We are attempting join up almost every day. I take him into menage and try to get him to follow me around. This isn't going too bad. Although his attention does wander to the gate sometimes so I have to be bolshy and fetch him back. :rolleyes:
We are hacking out alone at tleast 3 x a week. Not too far but further every time. When we get to a good grazing spot I have found the confidence to get off and stand with him whilst he has a good munch. I will only let him munch though if he is good. Kind of like a reward in a way. He is also getting grazed on his own every day for about 2 -4 hours and doesn't seem to have a problem with that as he gets the better field. :D
Haven't been to a show yet as am away now for 4 days and missing the next Show but will attempt the one in September on our own. In between now and then I am going to take him to another yard on his own and see how he reacts without his herd buddys.
Fingers crossed my plan to fool him seems to be working. :p
